Recent initiatives include a role as classroom parent at Island Montessori, leading the charge in building one of the largest teams involved in the Cape Fear Habitat Women Build 2023 Event, volunteering as a Classroom Lead for LifePoint's Kid's Team, and linking arms with the Fundraising Committee of Megan Kajigas Education Foundation to provide preschool tuition assistance to families in need. Though, she happiest surfing the beaches of Carolina Beach with her husband, hosting pool parties at their residence on Carolina Beach, or strengthening the sense of community with her children at the plentiful local family friendly events.
